1. Growing your own vegetables can be very rewarding.  The climate in New Orleans is conducive to  growing a wide variety of   fruits and vegetables.    More info on starting your own garden can be found at the Food and farm networks website.  www.noffn.org

For $25, customers receive a weekly box of produce, which is enough to feed two adults. No reservations necessary. Pick up on Tuesday or Saturday at the main location, or call ahead for pick up at one of the satellite locations around the city.
